Closing AdSense accounts linked to disabled accounts raises a strong wave of concern among publishers
On the morning of March 16, 2024, a large number of AdSense users woke up to an email stating that their account on Google Publishers had been suspended due to a policy violation entitled “An account linked to a disabled account.”
News of the campaign to stop AdSense accounts
In case you want to know what happened, a large number of publishers use an AdSense account to make a profit from their content, whether it is an AdSense account for content or an AdSense account for YouTube.
These publishers received an email from AdSense entitled (Your Google Publishers account has been suspended), which stated:
During a recent review of your account, our experts found that it does not adhere to the following policies:
Violations detected: An account linked to a disabled account
Our specialists have discovered that your account is linked to an account that has been disabled due to violations of AdSense policies. Publishers whose accounts have been disabled will not be eligible to participate again in the AdSense program.
The message means that their account was suspended because Google discovered that they had previously been using an account that Google had closed due to violating AdSense policies.
This appears to be a campaign against publishers who use more than one AdSense account, one of which has been closed due to policy violations in the past.
What will these publishers do? This is what you will be able to see after you continue reading the content of this page.
Publishers affected by account suspension
People affected by account suspension due to (an account linked to a disabled account) are publishers who were previously using an AdSense account that was suspended due to a policy violation of any kind, and then created another account.
Google monitored a group of these accounts and suspended them because they violate Google's policy represented in Clause Two (2) of the AdSense Terms of Service, which states:
You can be limited to one account. You will not be eligible for any additional payments from Google and your accounts may be terminated if you (or those under your direction or control) create numerous accounts. ...
On the other hand, there are two possibilities, one of which could apply to a publisher whose AdSense account was closed due to an account linked to a disabled account, which are:
The publisher used an account that was closed for policy violations in the past
The publisher has not used an account that has been closed for policy violations in the past and has a single account.
1- The publisher already had an account that was closed due to policy violations in the past
In this case, there is a possibility to submit a reconsideration request, but unfortunately the chances of recovering the account may be very slim, given that Google AdSense rarely tolerates policy violations, especially serious ones. If the publisher wants to submit a reconsideration request, he can do so if he believes that there is reason for the review team to reconsider his account.
2- The publisher did not use an account that was closed due to policy violations in the past and has a single account
Technical problems happen from time to time, and in my experience, in many cases most AdSense publishers thought there was a problem with the product, but the truth is that Google was preparing to launch major updates. For example, a message that one of your payments accounts has been cancelled.
Now, if you are an AdSense publisher using one account because you know that it is not allowed to create more than one AdSense account for each publisher, it is possible that your account has been suspended only due to some problem, and in this case you will be able to submit a strong reconsideration request. Account recovery rate AdSense has a very large scale, and this is based on personal experiences with friends and acquaintances, because AdSense actually fixes technical problems and helps publishers recover and protect their accounts.
My AdSense account was suspended because it was linked to a disabled account, and this is incorrect. What will I do?
If you are sure that you are using a single account and have never used an AdSense account that was closed due to a policy violation, the most logical step in this case is to send a request to reconsider closing the account due to its association with a disabled account.
