According to strategic management consultant Janan Doman, sectors such as manufacturing, media, transportation, healthcare, law, and technology are facing unprecedented challenges due to AI. The question today is no longer "whether jobs will change," but rather "to what extent and at what speed will they change?" This underscores the necessity of adaptation and change.

In her report published in the Turkish edition of "Independent," the author outlines the ten professions most threatened by AI:

1. Manufacturing and Production

   The manufacturing sector is first on the list, particularly affecting workers on production lines. The development of automated systems has reduced the demand for manual labor and brought significant changes to car production lines. AI is used to increase efficiency, improve quality, and reduce errors, making manufacturing systems smarter.

2. Inspection Systems

   According to Doman, quality inspectors are the second most affected, as AI-supported inspection systems now perform tasks such as detecting defects and anomalies. These systems have proven to be more accurate than human inspectors, improving inspection precision by up to 30% and reducing downtime, thereby enhancing overall production quality.

3. Proofreaders and Editors

   Proofreaders and editors in the media and entertainment sectors are third on the list. Advanced software can now review texts and detect language errors with minimal human intervention, significantly reducing the need for traditional proofreaders. AI tools offer automatic proofreading and style improvements.

   For film and TV editors, AI-driven editing tools automate repetitive tasks, such as matching footage, adjusting audio levels, and adding visual effects, allowing editors to focus on more creative aspects.

4. Taxi Drivers

   The impact of ride-sharing apps and autonomous vehicles is substantial on the taxi industry. Drivers face intense competition from services like Uber and Lyft, which offer more convenient and cost-effective options for passengers. The rise of self-driving cars could further decrease the demand for human drivers.

5. Legal Assistants

   In the legal field, especially for legal assistants, AI tools and document automation software now handle tasks like legal research, drafting contracts, and preparing filings, reducing the demand for traditional assistants.

6. Healthcare Sector

   In healthcare, specialists like radiologists face competition from AI tools that improve the accuracy of medical image analysis. AI algorithms can diagnose conditions such as breast cancer, lung cancer, and diabetic retinopathy with precision that sometimes surpasses human doctors.

   Advances in technology, such as automated payment systems and mobile payments, are decreasing the need for human cashiers in stores.

9. Banking Sector

   In banking, online services, ATMs, and mobile banking apps reduce the need for traditional tellers. AI solutions in banking include risk management, fraud detection, and personalized financial services.

10. Travel and Tourism

   Finally, travel agencies are impacted by online booking platforms and AI-powered travel apps, which have significantly altered the travel industry.

Although these professions face significant challenges, their extinction is not inevitable. Some jobs may become obsolete, while others will evolve to keep pace with technological advancements. According to Janan Doman, staying relevant in the job market will require acquiring new skills, embracing technological developments, and developing unique human traits.
